Program Approach

How We Start

The thinking behind the program, who it's designed for, and what you can expect from the first session onward.

The gap between what you see and what you pay

Argentina's consumer credit landscape is complex. Installment promotions are common, but the terminology — CFT, TNA, TEA, cuotas sin interés — is rarely explained in plain language at the point of sale.

Most consumers make installment decisions based on the monthly amount alone, without understanding the total cost, the rate structure, or what happens if circumstances change. This program exists to close that gap — not to judge past decisions, but to give you clearer information going forward.

Starting from where you are

No prior financial knowledge is assumed. We start from the basics and build toward the more complex calculations, always anchored in real-world Argentine examples.

Who this program is for

You don't need to be a finance professional. You just need to be someone who uses installment plans — or is about to.

Regular consumers

Anyone who buys appliances, electronics, clothing, or services on installment and wants to understand what they're actually agreeing to.

First-time credit users

People who are new to credit cards or installment plans and want to understand the mechanics before committing to their first financed purchase.

Small business owners

Entrepreneurs who offer or accept installment payments and want to understand the financial implications for their own cash flow and pricing.

Groups & organizations

Community groups, cooperatives, or workplace teams that want to offer financial literacy education to their members or employees.

How we teach

We use a structured, example-driven approach that moves from concept to calculation to real-world application in each session.

Concept first

Every session begins with a clear explanation of the concept — what it is, why it matters, and how it appears in the real world of Argentine retail and banking.

Worked examples

We work through the math step by step using realistic Argentine prices and interest rate scenarios, so the calculations feel tangible and usable.

Practical takeaways

Each session ends with a clear summary of what to look for, what to ask, and what to calculate before making an installment decision.

Questions are encouraged

Sessions are structured to allow questions at each stage. If a concept isn't clear, we revisit it. The goal is genuine understanding, not just coverage of material.

What we don't do: We don't recommend specific products, banks, or financial decisions. We explain the mechanics so you can make your own informed choices.

No sales, no pressure

This is a pure education program. There are no product recommendations, no upsells, and no commercial interests at play. We have no affiliation with any financial institution.

Independent Neutral Educational only No financial advice

Before you begin

No financial background is needed. We start from the very basics — what a cuota is, what an interest rate means — and build from there. The program is designed for general consumers, not financial professionals.
Yes. While the three sessions are designed to build on each other, each one is also self-contained enough to be attended independently. Session 1 is the most foundational, so it's the recommended starting point for most participants.
No. Polmadi is an independent consumer education initiative. We have no commercial relationship with any bank, credit card company, fintech, retailer, or government agency. Our content is purely educational and informational.
Participants receive reference materials summarizing the key concepts and formulas covered in each session. These are designed to be used as practical reference guides when evaluating real installment offers.
